Definitions 


Record Type Definition
Annual Moveable Conference Records relating to the Annual Moveable Conference. This was a decision-making event for the whole Order and was held in a different place in Victoria each year.
Attendance books Records of attendance at meetings, usually only the name of the member is recorded.
Charters Document issued to establish the Branch or Lodge,  usually contains Date, Name and Number.
Clearances Lists of members who applied to move from one Branch or Lodge to another; lists of people who applied to join a Branch or Lodge.
Contribution books Records of payments made by members, usually only mention names.
Correspondence Copies of correspondence, sometimes referred to as Letter Books.
Death records Records of the death of members.
Declaration of age, health and conformity books Notices of the health and age of prospective members, as well as  eligibility and conformity to the rules of the organisation.
Declaration of marriage books Records of marriage of members.
Degree books Records of  degrees and recipients.
District conference reports Records relating to District Conferences. District Conferences were generally held twice a year.
Member registration books Lists of members, often includes date of birth, address, occupation, marital status.
Minute books Records of the proceedings of individual Branches and Lodges
Ritual books Information about the rituals of the organisation.
Roll books Lists of attendance at Branch and Lodge meetings
Rule books Rules of the organisation.
Sickness and funeral records Records of sickness payments and funeral fund payments.
