Australian Natives’ Association records
The Australian Natives’ Association (ANA) records consist mainly of minutes of meetings of branches. There are also correspondence records and records of representative bodies such as the Metropolitan Committee, the Federal Council and the Branch Secretaries Council. There are some nineteenth century records for some branches. The later records document some of the public outreach activities of the ANA, such as its involvement in celebrating Australia Day and its sponsorship of school competitions.
The Australian Unity Library holds copies of the ANA Journal Advance Australia 1897-1919. Also ANApress 1947-1993.
The records of the Australian Natives' Association are held in the Australian Unity Archives, South Melbourne.
