Australian Unity has a long history of community contribution dating back almost 170 years and actively works to give back to the communities in which we operate.
From our earliest beginnings as a leader in the popular movement for Federation, to the introduction of a nationwide survey to monitor Australians’ wellbeing and the recent formation of a charitable foundation, connection to community has underpinned much of who we are.
Today, our aim in the community is to improve the wellbeing of Australians in the areas of health, ageing and financial security, and to support and celebrate Australian achievements, heritage and culture.
Australian Unity has developed strong partnerships that have generated major initiatives such as the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index which offers valuable insights for policy makers. Other community initiatives include the Australian Unity Foundation. Find out more about our partnerships.
Australian Unity in association with the Australian Natives' Association and Henry Lawson Memorial & Literary Society invites submissions of original bush poetry to be considered for the annual Austrlian Unity Bryan Kelleher Liteary Award. Find out more about our Bryan Kelleher Literary Award.
